1. 到…为止:
I stayed until morning. (我一直留到早上)
He was in prison from 1850 until the 1854 revolt. (他在狱中服刑从1850年直到1854年叛乱/起义为止)
She will be out of the office until next week. (在下星期之前她将不在办公室)
The coupon is good until the end of March. (这张减价券到三月底之前仍有效)

1a. 往某方向:
The bus is heading toward town. (这部巴士开往城市)
