01. back-to-back
定义: 背对背, 紧接着, 一个紧接一个.
例句: Scheduling all your classes back to back can cause unnecessary stress, and you may be less likely to retain the information you have taken in. (把你所有的课程紧接地安排在一块会造成不必要的压力, 你也可能不容易记住你所吸取的知识)

02. backup plan, a
定义: 备份计划, 应急预案.
例句: The immune system has an effective backup plan to protect the body from infection when the "master regulator" of the body's innate immune system fails. (当人体天然免疫系统的"主要调节机制"功能衰败之时, 这个免疫系统还有一个有效的应急预案来保护身体免于感染)

03. backup, a
定义: 代替者, 堵塞, 拷贝电脑的资料作备份的存档.

04. backward and forward
定义: 来回/往返地, 彻底地, 往复的移动地, 摇摆不定地.

05. backward vs. backwards
[易混淆字或片语]backward(形容词/副词)向后的, 返回的, 反向的, 怕羞的, 畏缩的, 落后的; 向后地, 追溯, 相反地; backwards(副词)与backward的副词部份同意, 所以你有疑虑就使用backward, 保证不会错.
